Annual "Day Out With Dad" Planned for Saturday, June 24

Gold Jacket ORLANDO PACE will host the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s annual “Day Out with Dad” event on Saturday, June 24. Pace will be joined by his sons for the Official Hall of Fame Character Camp.

Tickets for the event go on sale today at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at www.ProFootballHOF.com/tickets. Cost for “Day Out with Dad” is just $38 (the total value is over $100) and includes an adult and up to four children (12 years old and under). Additional add-on tickets are available for extra adult and children admissions.

The event includes a day of family fun centered around an Official Hall of Fame Character Camp that will include football skills and drills. Fathers and their children can spend the day bonding while also getting up close and personal with one of the greatest to ever play the Game. In addition to the exclusive Character Camp that is based off the Hall’s five core values learned from the Game – commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence – a ticket includes lunch vouchers from Chick-fil-A, admission into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and parking.

Tickets can only be purchased through the online presale and are available until Wednesday, June 21. There will be no day of event or walk-up sales. The first 100 registered receive a limited-edition commemorative photo of Pace.

The former Ohio State standout was the No. 1 pick of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Rams and is one of just 14 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame to have been drafted first overall. He became the cornerstone of the Rams’ high-powered offense that earned the nickname “greatest show on turf” when the team produced three straight years of scoring more than 500 points. He was voted to seven Pro Bowls, named All-Pro five times and selected to the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 2000s.

Pace, who grew up just two hours from the Hall of Fame in Sandusky, Ohio, shared these thoughts during his Enshrinement speech last August:

“I am honored and humbled to stand here today, for along with my induction, this occasion marks a fulfillment of each and every goal I've established for myself in football since the age of 13. For at 13, following a basketball tournament here in Canton, I toured the Hall of Fame and was inspired; me, a kid from Sandusky, that I too could be here one day as well.

This became my first goal, and now here I am, 27 years later, standing in Canton, Ohio, accepting this incredible honor. From high school, through college, to the final game of my career, my goal never wavered. It has always been to be the very best I can be. Hear what I'm saying, the very best I can be. Not simply in football but in life. Throughout, the Hall of Fame was the pinnacle, my Matterhorn, which I strived to ascend. I never spoke to anybody about my goals, but it fueled the fire inside me that I unleashed in every game I played.”

Check-in for “Day Out with Dad” begins at 8 a.m. on the day of the event and the activities kick off at 9 a.m. The event will take place at the National Football & Youth Sports Complex (1700 Blake Ave NW, Canton, Ohio 44708) at Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village.

The 2017 “Day Out with Dad” is presented by Chick-fil-A and Marc’s. Additional information can be found on the Hall’s website: http://www.profootballhof.com/events/day-out-with-dad-2017/.
