Greene Honors Late Wife at Annual Nibble and Mingle
The Greene Family Foundation along with NFL Hall of Famer Joe Greene have partnered with two-time Top Chef Alumni, James Beard nominee and author Chef John Tesar of The Knife Restaurant, and The Highland Hotel to host the 1st Annual Nibble & Mingle Fundraiser for the UNT Agnes Lucille Craft Greene Scholarship.
Nibble & Mingle Fundraiser is benefitting the UNT Foundation Agnes Lucille Craft Greene Memorial Scholarship, on June 9, 2017 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM at The Highland Hotel, Dallas, TX.
“Agnes and I were married for 47 and a half years,” said the former Pittsburgh Steelers Legend of his late wife. “Our oldest son Major wanted to honor his mother by starting a scholarship at The University of North Texas in her name. Knowing how much she loved her school. Education has always been important to Agnes. Our youngest son, Delon initiated the fundraiser and I’m very proud that my sons are showing their love for their mother in such a meaningful way.”
Attendees will enjoy the amazing sounds of the UNT College of Music student jazz quartet, while experiencing the flavors of the culinary feast. Those attending will have the opportunity to bid on selections of prized sports memorabilia pieces and a V.I.P Pittsburgh Steelers training camp experience including airfare cost, hotel accommodations and field access during training camp.
Special guest attending includes host Joe Greene, additional Pro Football Hall of Famers Earl Campbell, Tony Dorsett, Randy White, Rayfield Wright and others.
UNT student recipients of the Agnes Lucille Craft Greene Scholarship are either survivors of breast cancer or have a parent/legal guardian who has been affected by breast cancer.
