HOF Production Teams Up with NFL Legends Community
Updated 8/1/17
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Production Team and Gold Jacket Will Shields traveled to the NFL Headquarters in New York City to work in conjunction with the league to produce the content for the marketing campaign for the NFL Legends Community "This is Your NFL"
As part of the NFL’s continuous efforts to assist players in successful transition into their post-playing careers, the most recent group of retired players and their significant others have been invited to the league office for a three-day introduction to the Legends Community to be educated on the resources available to them. Additionally, they will participate in networking opportunities and learn about the initiatives and programs specifically designed for them.
Shields, who was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015, interviewed 18 former players on all the benefits that were available and how to navigate the system to their advantage.
This effort is led by Troy Vincent, the Executive Vice President of Football Operations, who's been working closely with Hall of Fame president and CEO David Baker to honor the heroes of the game
During the event, Legends heard from NFL league and team executives, as well as former players currently serving asLegends Community Ambassadors.
Topics include career development and educational opportunities, discussions regarding benefits and transition assistance, information on how to stay engaged with teams, and tips for building their brand.
