HALL OF FAME TO HOST BANDS OF AMERICA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The Pro Football Hall of Fame and Music for All will present the 2017 Bands of America Northeast Ohio Regional Championship marching band competition on Saturday, September 16 in the new Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium at Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village. The 2017 Bands of America Northeast Ohio Regional Championship is presented by Yamaha.
“After three years of returning to the music business with our Concert for Legends series with Aerosmith, Tim McGraw and now Toby Keith & Kid Rock we are thrilled to continue our music concerts with Music for All. We love marching band music and our future plans are to create our own Hall of Fame Band. We will enjoy watching this competition to ‘scout’ some future prospects,” said George Veras, the Hall’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Producer.
Music for All is excited to start the 2017 Bands of America Championships season off with its new partnership with the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This is the first Bands of America regional competition to be held in the Canton, Ohio area since 2012. Music for All and the Pro Football Hall of Fame are enthusiastic about bringing the arts and sports together for this event that celebrates excellence and positively life-changing experiences.
“Bands of America has always had a commitment to excellence, of the very best facilities and performance opportunities to our participants. We're thrilled to bring the Bands of America Regional to this spectacular facility that has received rave reviews from music fans” said Eric L. Martin, President and CEO of Music for All. “We know the Hall of Fame's mission is to celebrate excellence everywhere across all platforms from music to art to sport. Our partnership this fall will showcase excellence in scholastic music education in a 'hall of fame' environment. Participants and fans will have the unique opportunity to perform in this world class facility and to take in all that is the Hall of Fame.”
We’re anticipating 18 bands to compete from across Ohio. In addition to participating in the regional, bands and their directors will be receiving free tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
