Red Grange Debuts on Thanksgiving
Hall of Fame Village LLC, led by Industrial Realty Group (IRG) and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, has announced a spectacular design created by HKS for a four-star upscale hotel that will be a key component of Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village, a nearly $800 million mixed-use development of the Hall of Fame’s campus, under way in Canton, Ohio.
“This final design concept is consistent with the goal of making Hall of Fame Village world class. This hotel will be extraordinary and unlike anything ever created,” shared Stuart Lichter, President & Chairman of the Board of IRG, the project’s master developer. “An intricate process has been guided by the Hall of Fame’s Mission that includes the celebration of excellence everywhere which has resulted in producing this inspiring design.”
The football-themed hotel will include a grand lobby that will serve as the “living room for Hall of Fame Village” with expansive 40-foot ceilings, a large fireplace, oversized furniture, and technology incorporated to accommodate huge projection screens.
A VIP perch and meeting space will overlook the lobby. The ballroom will allow for 600 people for dinner and also include breakout meeting rooms.
The football-themed Hall of Fame Hotel, now under construction, will truly be a one-of-kind upscale scale hotel that opens in 2019.
The world-class design also includes high level technology and guest rooms themed in football. The hotel features a two-story “Commissioner Suite” at the peak of the property. The restaurant will include a large operable wall that opens to a view of Hall of Fame Village’s “Main Street” that will be home to retail, restaurants, office space and residential.
The luxury hotel will be managed by Crestline Hotel & Resorts, LLC one of the country’s leading and largest independent hospitality management companies. Part of the team associated with Crestline is Hall of Famer Bruce Smith whose Bruce Smith Enterprise LLC has partnered with other Crestline hotels.
