Eric Dickerson and Tony Dorsett to be Featured in New Goodyear "Blimpworthy" Moments; Appear at Goodyear Cotton Bowl

Two of the game’s greatest running backs – Eric Dickerson and Tony Dorsett will be featured as part of the ongoing sponsorship between the Pro Football Hall of Fame and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

The legendary runners will be profiled in the first of 10 new “Blimpworthy” moments that will be aired between now and Super Bowl LII. “Blimpworthy” is what defines the spirit of football – hard work, grit and determination – that takes place on and off the field.

In addition, Dickerson and Dorsett will participate in a pregame tailgate prior to the Goodyear Cotton Bowl on Dec. 29, 2017. The festivities include a special “Chalk Talk” and a fan photo op prior to the game being played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“Eric Dickerson and Tony Dorsett are heroes of the game who epitomize the values of commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence,” Hall of Fame President & CEO David Baker stated. “Their stories and experiences serve as great inspiration to generations of fans.”

The relationship between Goodyear and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, two global brands headquartered in northeast Ohio, focus on inspiring stories from the game. The partnership enhances Goodyear’s brand leadership in football, a sport the world-famous Goodyear Blimp has covered overhead for more than 60 years. Utilizing the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s vast archive housed in the Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research & Preservation Center, Goodyear will create “Blimpworthy” stories through Hall of Famers and moments in time that transformed their playing careers.

Also as part of the sponsorship, Goodyear and the Pro Football Hall of Fame support a special salute to service throughout the month of November to encourage appreciation of service by the U.S. Armed Forces. For the second straight year, Goodyear provided free museum admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for all veterans and active military along with a guest last month.
