Gerald Ford and Pro Football
Not only did Gerald Ford play at Michigan, but he was a team MVP with the Wolverines after being named all-state in high school. He also had offers to play professionally following college, but instead chose to coach at Yale while attending law school there.
This is the game program from the 1935 Chicago All-Star Charity Game featuring the College All-Americans vs. the Chicago Bears. The game featured Hall of Famer George Musso (Bears) and President Gerald Ford (College All-Americans, Michigan), before his days in the Oval Office.
Ford attended the 1963 Enshrinement Ceremony as well as the 1967 and 1974 ceremonies. He spoke at both the 1967 and 1974 ceremonies.
