Terrell Owens Announces Presenter for Enshrinement Ceremony
Class of 2018 Enshrinee TERRELL OWENS has selected George Stewart, his former wide receivers coach while with the San Francisco 49ers, as his presenter for Enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this August. Stewart has more than 30 years of coaching experience in the National Football League and currently serves as the special teams coordinator/assistant head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. Under Stewart’s tutelage, Owens earned All-Pro honors and was voted to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career. Owens received All-Pro acclaim and was named to the Pro Bowl in each of the three seasons that Stewart coached 49ers receivers (2000-02).
Owens was in Canton earlier this week for a site visit with fellow classmates BRIAN DAWKINS and BRIAN URLACHER to prepare for the 2018 Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls. During their time in Canton, they each sat down with HOF Productions’ cameras to share a wide range of thoughts on their upcoming induction.
Presenters join the Enshrinees on stage at the Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner on Friday, Aug. 3 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center. Members of the Class of 2018 will be greeted by a gauntlet of Gold Jackets (living Hall of Famers). Stewart will then place the Hall of Fame Gold Jacket on Owens during what promises to be an emotional moment on the eve of the Enshrinement.
Presenters are featured in video presentations to introduce their respective Enshrinee and then join them on stage to unveil the bronze bust at the Enshrinement Ceremony at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 4.
“THE ROAD TO 2018 ENSHRINEMENT”
Part 3 of the video series “Huddle Up at Hall” will be aired on the new Hall of Fame Channel this week and will feature a unique perspective of the visit this week by Dawkins, Owens and Urlacher.
