7th Annual Chicago Salute to Greatness to be held at the Glen Club, June 4-5

More than one dozen Gold Jackets (a term used for living members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame) will be on hand at the prestigious Glen Club in Glenview, Illinois June 4-5, 2018 for the 7th Annual Chicago Salute to Greatness.

The event is a major fundraiser for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, to support its mission to “Honor the Heroes of the Game, Preserve its History, Promote its Values & Celebrate Excellence EVERYWHERE.”

The Chicago Salute to Greatness kicks off on Monday, June 4 with a spectacular cocktail reception and dinner providing golfers, corporate partners and invited guests the opportunity to engage with the Gold Jackets on hand. An evening program will be led by popular Chicago broadcaster Pat Boyle from CSNChicago who will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. In addition, the evening will include a Hall of Famer roundtable hosted by the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s President & CEO David Baker.

The current lineup of Pro Football Hall of Famers for the 7th Annual Chicago Salute to Greatness includes:

The list is expected to grow in upcoming weeks with the addition of other Hall of Fame greats.

Golfers tee off at the Glen Club, a spectacular course designed by Tom Fazio, on Tuesday, June 5 for a day of fun alongside the greatest players in the history of the National Football League. The Chicago Salute to Greatness is capped by an Awards Ceremony later that day.

The Chicago Salute to Greatness is co-chaired by two members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Advisory Board, Rob Zmudka, Vice President/Group Executive, North American Sales & Marketing, GATX Corp; and Mary Owen, Principal and Senior Advisor, Delphi21 Advisors, LLC.

Proceeds go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and to the local charity, Beyond Sports Foundation, whose mission is to use the power of sports to transform lives by turning athletic ability into life opportunity.
