Canton Repository Editorial Sets Record Straight about Johnson Controls HOF Village

The Canton Repository Newspaper posted an article about debunking misinformation regarding Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village.

Below are a few facts about the exciting future of Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village:

Fact: Developers on the project, which is estimated at about $1 billion, hit a funding gap at the end of 2017 and into 2018. As a result, some local contractors weren’t paid in full.

Fact: That since has been rectified with an up-to $100 million bridge loan, a new management structure on the Village project and a new consulting firm with experience in raising capital for similar projects. Contractors have been paid, with interest.

Fact: They should be against this sort of tax, and they should know imposing this sort of tax goes against Ohio Revised Code. If they don’t know that, then county leadership has other problems.
