Lee Brice to Perform at 2018 Concert for Legends

The 2018 Concert for Legends lineup now includes Lee Brice. The soulful songwriter will precede the event’s headliner Maroon 5, kicking off the Concert for Legends on Sunday, Aug. 5 at 8:00 pm ET in the spectacular Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

The ACM Award winner and GRAMMY nominee has sold more than 11 million albums. Additionally, Brice has eight singles that are certified RIAA Gold or higher, including “Love Like Crazy,” “Drinking Class,” “I Don’t Dance,” “I Drive Your Truck,” and “Hard to Love.” His most recent album – the self-titled 15-song project – was released in November 2017 and features his new single “Boy.” Brice has written hits for other chart-topping artists including Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean and 2016 Concert for Legends performer Tim McGraw.

“Football, as much as music, was part of every one of my early memories as a kid,” Brice stated. “It taught me life lessons about being positive, working hard toward my goals, giving my best in everything I do, and being a team player. Because it made a life-difference for me, it’s nothing less than an honor to participate in this year’s concert for legends.”

Brice not only had a passion for music growing up, but also football. He walked on to the Clemson University football team in 1998 as a long snapper, but later that season suffered a career-ending arm injury. He then turned his focus to pursuing a career in music. Brice’s values as a man – values he learned from life and the game of football – are exemplified through his music. Brice was even selected by Clemson University to write and record a game day power anthem – “Orange Empire.” Fellow Clemson Tiger BRIAN DAWKINS will be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 4 as a member of the Class of 2018.

Brice, known for his hit “I Don’t Dance,” will dust off his moves as he performs a special rendition of the famous “Super Bowl Shuffle.” Bears Hall of Famers and Legends are expected to join in the performance of the iconic song that was recorded by the 1985 Bears players during their memorable Super Bowl championship season.

The 2018 Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls will kick off with the Hall of Fame Game featuring the Chicago Bears against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Aug. 2 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Then, the Class of 2018 – Bobby Beathard, Robert Brazile, Brian Dawkins, Jerry Kramer, Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens and Brian Urlacher – will receive their coveted Gold Jackets at the nationally televised Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner on Friday night in front of an audience of 4,500. The Enshrinement Ceremony will take place the following night (Saturday, Aug. 4). On Sunday, the Class of 2018 will participate in the Enshrinees’ Roundtable luncheon before Brice and Maroon 5 wrap up the week with the Concert for Legends.
