Frank Gore Embarks on Record Season
Miami Dolphins running back Frank Gore will be entering his 14th season in the NFL. He has accomplished a lot in his career, but this season could be extra special for him.
Gore has amassed 14,026 rushing yards during his career, which ranks him fifth all-time. He only needs 76 yards to pass Gold Jacket Curtis Martin to become fourth all-time in rushing yards. Upon passing Martin, he would only trail Hall of Famers Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton and Barry Sanders in career rushing yards.
If he breaks the record, HOF Executives will try and collect a piece of history from Gore.
The Dolphins' running back is in good company and could be a possible Hall of Famer in the future. HOF Productions interviewed Gore last year and asked if he thinks his career has been Hall of Fame worthy.
“I know I’ve done a lot in this league and I know if my opponents, the guys I had to face, had to vote me in I think they would.” shared Gore.
There are a total of 32 running backs currently in the HOF. The five most recently Enshrined running backs include: Terrell Davis (2017), LaDainian Tomlinson (2017), Jerome Bettis (2015), Curtis Martin (2012) and Marshall Faulk (2011).
