HALFTIME ENTERTAINMENT FOR 2019 HALL OF FAME GAME ANNOUNCED

The 2019 Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps will return to their hometown to perform during halftime of the annual Hall of Fame Game that kicks off the National Football League’s 100th season. The preseason classic features the Atlanta Falcons versus the Denver Broncos in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 1.

“Each summer we leave Canton and take our show to audiences all over the United States. It’s so exciting that this year we get to bring something as special as our 2019 production right to one of the most special events in our hometown,” said Mike Scott, CEO of Bluecoats.

The Bluecoats halftime performance will include a portion of their 2019 production, currently undefeated and generating excitement all across the drum corps world. The corps will perform this production
in competition 31 times on a 10,000-mile tour culminating at the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis on Aug. 8-10.

“The Bluecoats are a great representation of values learned from the game – commitment, integrity, courage, respect, and excellence – that apply to all aspects of life. They are a source of pride for the Canton community and we are thrilled to feature them as the halftime performer,” Pro Football Hall of Fame President & CEO David Baker commented.

In addition to their halftime performance, the Bluecoats will perform prior to the Hall of Fame Game on the Hall’s campus alongside the Bluecoats Band of Excellence, a national band program open to high school students around the country. This joint partnership between the Canton-based Bluecoats and the Pro Football Hall of Fame centers on both groups’ commitment to celebrating “excellence everywhere.” The Band of Excellence will bring nearly 100 students to Canton during Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls, a week where they will learn from the world-class team at Bluecoats, experience the Pro Football Hall of Fame and perform a show alongside the 2019 Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps.

Fans can still purchase tickets to the Hall of Fame Game and other Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls events at profootballhof.com/tickets.
