DOLPHINS ARTIFACTS ON EXHIBIT

The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Collection contains countless artifacts from the Dolphins’ storied history. Several of those priceless artifacts are currently on display in the museum including:

  • Super Bowl VII and VIII rings awarded to the Miami Dolphins players and coaches.
  • LARRY CSONKA’s Dolphins jersey worn during the team’s perfect 1972 season.
  • Low top cleats worn by LARRY CSONKA in Super Bowl VII.
  • DON SHULA’s shirt worn on Nov. 14, 1993 when he won his record breaking 325th victory as a head coach.
  • Football used by the Dolphins from their Oct. 28, 2007 game against the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The game was played to help globalize the NFL and was the first regular season NFL game played outside of North America.
  • Football from the Miami Dolphins NFL record-breaking game on Dec. 16, 1972 for most yards rushing in a season. The football was carried by Earl Morrall who was originally credited for breaking the record. However, a statistical correction by the NFL a week later credited Mercury Morris with breaking the record. Originally on Oct. 22, 1972 Morris was given a negative nine-yard rush against the Buffalo Bills. However, at the end of the season the play was ruled a fumble by Morrall and an additional nine yards was credited to Morris, who with the nine yards, earned 1,000 yards for the season. Morris had an eight-yard gain on Dec. 16, 1972 against the Baltimore Colts three plays before Morrall got the five yards that originally credited him with the record.
