Hall of Fame, Panini Extend Partnership Agreement for Five Years
The Pro Football Hall of Fame and sports card manufacturer Panini America have agreed to extend their partnership for five years.
The deal makes Panini the exclusive distributor of trading cards featuring players, coaches and contributors elected as members of the Hall’s Enshrinement classes of 2020 through 2024.
“The Pro Football Hall of Fame holds such a special place in football honoring great players in history and at the same time is committed to growing the game of football,” said Jason Howarth, Vice President of Marketing at Panini America. “Their commitment to the game, support of our marketing programs such as the Panini Super Bowl Kid Reporter and the integration of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in our Panini trading card products is what makes our relationship so special. We look forward to new efforts to integrate Panini trading cards into Pro Football Hall of Fame efforts.”
Under terms of the agreement, Panini will work with the Pro Football Hall of Fame around a number of key Hall of Fame Centennial initiatives. In addition to the partnership, Panini will create a dedicated Hall of Fame logo card “wall display” inside the Museum. This unique exhibit will not only showcase trading cards but provide an opportunity for fans to engage and share special social media moments from their visit to the Hall.
“Panini has been an exceptional partner of the Pro Football Hall of Fame producing great cards that showcase the careers of the Pro Football Hall of Famers,” said Pat Lindesmith, the Hall’s Chief Partnership Officer and Senior Vice President of Gold Jacket Relations. “They are creative and engaged in celebrating the Game we all love, and we are proud to have the opportunity to continue to grow our partnership with new and innovative products to highlight the Gold Jackets over the next five years for fans to enjoy and collect.”
Panini also will provide its products to youth participants at Hall events and will serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the Pro Football Hall of Fame First Play, the Get Fit Training Camp and the Playmakers Camp.
Additionally, Panini will remain the title sponsor of card-signing sessions featuring Gold Jackets – the living members of the Hall of Fame.
