Hall of Fame Unveils Super Bowl LV Vince Lombardi Trophy

The Road to Tampa and Super Bowl LV begins tonight in Kansas City, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame has unveiled a special exhibit to help set the stage for the 2020 season.

David Baker, the Hall’s president and CEO, formally placed the Vince Lombardi Trophy (pictured right) that will be presented to the winner of Super Bowl LV on display today inside the Museum. It can be viewed in the Hall of Fame’s Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery.

Super Bowl LV is scheduled for Feb. 7, 2021 at Raymond James Stadium.

“The Pro Football Hall of Fame is proud to honor the kickoff of the NFL’s second century by displaying the Lombardi Trophy here in Canton,” Baker said moments after the brief ceremony at the Hall. “This is the actual trophy that will be given to winner of Super Bowl LV in Tampa.”

The Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans kick off the new season at 8:20 tonight at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs beat the Texans 51-31 in last season’s playoffs, overcoming a 24-0 deficit, en route to their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIV.

In addition to seeing the Lombardi Trophy, fans can relive the 2019 season and the Chiefs’ first world title in 50 years with a viewing of NFL Films’ production “Road to the Super Bowl,” which debuted a few weeks ago in the Hall’s Super Bowl Theater.

Both exhibits are included with a Museum admission ticket. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is open every day of the year, except Thanksgiving and Christmas, with hours daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
