New Education Program - "Before the Snap"

One thing the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us all is how to adapt – and the Hall’s Youth & Education Team did just that when field trips and in-person programs came to a screeching halt earlier this year.

On Friday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame will kick off a new series – “Before the Snap.” A live webinar series created by the Hall’s Youth & Education Team, “Before the Snap” will allow learners of all ages to gain insight on careers in and around the National Football League by giving them the opportunity to interact with an industry expert via a live Q&A.

This series will take place every Friday at noon EST on the Hall’s Facebook featuring guests such as Gameplay Producer for EA Sports Madden NFL and Ratings Adjustor, Clint Oldenburg; Sr. Director of Community Relations & Detroit Lions Charities, Jen McCollum; and NFL columnist for USA Today Sports and Pro Football Hall of Fame Selector Jarrett Bell.  

The idea for the series came to fruition after the Youth & Education Team received tremendous positive feedback following a special “Hall of Fame Live: Careers in the NFL” program, which was streamed live on Facebook, with Ben Liebenberg, director of photography/NFL lead photographer. Ben spoke at length about his career as lead photographer.

“’Before the Snap’ was created to give learners in high school, college and beyond the chance to interact and network with industry experts. Fans around the world see the final product on the field on game day – but we wanted to highlight all of the work that goes into making it flawless by so many off the field,” shared the Hall’s Youth & Education Manager, Jake Ray.
