The Road to Los Angeles and Super Bowl LVI began today at the Pro Football Hall of Fame as they set the stage for the 2021 season in a special exhibit.

David Baker, the Hall’s president and CEO, formally placed the Vince Lombardi Trophy that will be presented to the winner of Super Bowl LVI on display today inside the Museum. It can be viewed in the Hall of Fame’s Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery.

Super Bowl LVI is scheduled for Feb. 13, 2022 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.

“The Pro Football Hall of Fame is excited to kickoff the 102nd season of the NFL with the Hall of Fame Game,” Baker said during a brief installation for the exhibit. “A tradition in Canton is that we always get the Lombardi Trophy for fans to see it (in person) before the Super Bowl takes place. This is the actual trophy that will be presented to the winner of Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.”

In addition to seeing the Lombardi Trophy, fans can relive the 2020 season and the Buccaneers’ second world title with a viewing of NFL Films’ production “Road to the Super Bowl,” which debuted earlier this summer in the Hall’s Super Bowl Theater. Tampa’s Super Bowl LV Championship Ring was also placed on display for museum guests this week.
