The Mission: Thurman Thomas Family Foundation Raising Money For Families Of Buffalo Shooting Victims

This slogan has resonated throughout the Buffalo community in the wake of 10 people killed in a mass shooting at a shopping market.
This week’s guests on “The Mission” podcast are Thurman and Patti Thomas, who through the tireless efforts of the Thurman Thomas Family Foundation have raised over six figures to help support the victims’ families.
On the podcast, the Thomases share their thoughts and prayers to the families that have lost their loved ones, as well as share the rich stories of culture and strength of the Buffalo community.
The call to action set in motion a whirlwind of support from professional sports organizations that have been trying to help the community heal.
Dhane Smith, of the Buffalo Bandits professional lacrosse team, has pledged to donate $50 for every goal the team scores and also will be auctioning several items.
The Bills Foundation is donating $200,000 to support local response efforts, with the NFL Foundation matching that amount.
