'The Mission': Central State head coach Kevin Porter joins the show

As the Pro Football Hall of Fame ramps up for one of the greatest gatherings in HBCU football, the newest episode of “THE MISSION” is now available.
 
The Central State University Marauders square off against the Winston-Salem State University Rams in the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic during Labor Day Weekend at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
 
During the podcast, host Jamir Howerton provides viewers with an exclusive interview with Central State’s new football head coach, Kevin Porter.
 
Porter shares his mission and vision for Central State University’s football program. A former collegiate standou and NFL player, Porter brings two decades of coaching experience to help lead the Marauders back to their glory days.
 
Along with the stadium upgrades that include a new turf surface and electronic scoreboard at Central State, Coach Porter is excited to start building his program and open the HBCU season in Canton.
 
“It is an honor to be selected to lead the football program at Central State University. CSU has tremendous history and tradition. With the opportunity to work alongside the dynamic and innovative leadership of President Dr. Jack Thomas and Director of Athletics Tara A. Owens, I believe we can build CSU into a perennial championship contender,” Porter says.
