'The Mission:' Marshall Faulk of the Class of 2011 joins the show

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is ready for the 2022 NFL season, and the newest episode of “THE MISSION” is now available.

Throughout the ’22 NFL season, the vision of The Mission podcast is to connect viewers and listeners with Hall of Famers to help break down some of the league’s primetime matchups, historical matchups and current news storylines, and to learn about the treasured life lessons the game of football has taught these gridiron warriors.

To help recap Week 3 and break down Week 4 of the NFL schedule, joining The Mission is Colts & Rams Legend Marshall Faulk, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2011.

Throughout Faulk’s 12-year career, he rushed for 1,000 yards in four of his first five seasons while also accumulating 2,804 yards on 297 receptions.

Faulk was traded by the Colts to the St. Louis Rams in 1999 in exchange for second- and fifth-round draft picks. He helped lead his new team to a Super Bowl XXXIV championship in his first season.

That same year, he became the second player in NFL history to surpass the 1,000-yard mark in both rushing and receiving and set the then-record for yards from scrimmage with 2,429 yards.

Faulk’s efforts earned him the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year honors for three consecutive seasons (1999, 2000, 2001).
