Milestone victories recognized with artifacts at Pro Football Hall of Fame
The Pro Football Hall of Fame recently received artifacts commemorating two milestones for NFL victories — the first for Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, achieved Oct. 1, followed by the Las Vegas Raiders as a franchise two weeks later.
With a 28-3 win in Week 4 over their divisional rivals, the Cleveland Browns, Harbaugh reached 150 regular-season wins, surpassing Hall of Fame coach BILL COWHER on the all-time regular-season wins list.
Only 24 coaches in NFL history have totaled 150 wins as a head coach. Harbaugh’s 150 wins with one franchise are the 12th most all-time, behind Sean Payton’s 152 with the New Orleans Saints (2006-2011, 2013-2021).
Among active NFL coaches, Harbaugh is among seven with 150 or more victories to his name along with Bill Belichick, Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin, Pete Carroll, Mike McCarthy and Payton.
A game ball and a shirt and hat Harbaugh wore when he reached his 150th win have been placed on display inside the Hall of Fame’s “Pro Football Today Gallery.”
Entering the 2023 season, the Las Vegas Raiders franchise had totaled 497 wins in its storied history. The franchise, formerly located in Oakland (1960-1981, 1995-2019) and Los Angeles (1982-1994), earned its 500th victory in Week 6 after defeating the New England Patriots 21-17 on Oct. 15.
Their .520 win percentage ranks the Raiders 11th in the NFL since 1960 with a minimum of 500 games played.
Now in his second season with the Raiders, Josh McDaniels was named head coach on Jan. 31, 2022. He attended Canton McKinley High School, which is located on property adjacent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
A game ball and a visor worn by McDaniels, his usual game-day look, are highlighted in Canton.
