A.J. Brown’s historic streak with Eagles featured in Canton
Brown’s record has been commemorated at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
In the fourth quarter of the Eagles’ Week 8 overtime win against the Washington Commanders, Brown surpassed 125 yards, breaking the record. For the game, Brown’s stats showed eight catches on eight targets totaling 130 yards and two of the Eagles’ five touchdowns.
Brown’s streak began when he hauled in nine catches for 131 yards in a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over the six-game span, Brown averaged 138.5 yards per game and totaled 49 receptions for 831 yards and five touchdowns, helping the Eagles to five victories.
For his efforts, Brown earned two accolades from the NFL: NFC Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 22) and NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October.
The previous record of five consecutive games was held by Hall of Famer CALVIN JOHNSON and Pat Studstill.
Brown’s game-worn Kelly-green jersey and pants from Week 7, when he tied the record, have been placed on display in the “Pro Football Today Gallery.”
