Monica Blakely, designer of Donna Kelce’s iconic Super Bowl outfit, visits artifacts on display
What started as a shot long-shot direct message from Blakely to Kelce has blossomed into a great relationship. After Kelce responded and showed interest, all Blakely asked for in return was a shoutout on social media. She got that – and a lot more.
“This is my Lombardi,” Blakely stated as she and her family, including her husband, T.J., and her daughter, Ezra, marveled at the display inside the Hall’s “Pro Football Today” gallery.
A true football fanatic, Blakely called this the biggest and greatest moment in her life, better than when she attended the Super Bowl or the past three NFL drafts.
It was just two years ago that Blakely recalled telling herself, “One day you will have your own Super Bowl commercial.”
What transpired at this past year’s Super Bowl was far better than a standalone commercial. Not only did Donna Kelce – and her sons, Jason and Travis – love and appreciate Blakely’s work, but Donna wore both the jacket and shoes to countless nationally televised interviews and events, include the Super Bowl.
Blakely previously visited the Hall of Fame in 2021 and recalled watching “A Game for Life,” which shares inspiring lessons learned from Hall of Famers as fans sit inside a themed locker room. Blakely said watching the film was a pivotal moment for her and her business that changed her perspective on life and her work.
Asked to sum up her thoughts, Blakely considered what it might mean to her young daughter one day and said, “How many people can say, ‘My mom has something in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?’”
Donna Kelce’s split Chiefs-Eagles jersey, which Blakely did not create, also is part of the Hall of Fame display. Kelce still has the jacket.

Pro Football Hall of Fame celebrates decades of football excellence
For 60 years, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has honored football’s greatest individuals, celebrating the stories and triumphs of each enshrinee. As the years pass, Enshrinement classes mark anniversaries of their own, much like the Hall. This year, the Hall is recognizing 10 anniversary classes — a total of 63 Hall of Famers – dating back to the inaugural Enshrinement in 1963.
