Pro Football Hall of Fame presents 2024 Awards of Excellence for 15 winners
On Wednesday, the Hall celebrated the 15 honorees with an evening reception at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The awards were presented to the individuals or to representative Thursday at a luncheon inside the Nash Family Event & Conference Center at the Hall, hosted by Hall of Famer DAN FOUTS.
Receiving Awards of Excellence for 2024 were:
- Assistant Coaches — Monte Kiffin, Bill McPherson and Lionel Taylor.
- Athletic Trainers — Steve Antonopulos, Dean Kleinschmidt and Bill Tessendorf.
- Equipment Managers — Bill Hampton Sr., Don Hewitt and Richard “Dick” Romanski.
- Film/Video Directors — Tom Atcheson, Bob McCartney and Dave Levy.
- Public Relations Directors — Dan Edwards, Harvey Greene and Frank Ramos.
Also this year at the awards luncheon, the Hall of Fame honored the winner of its annual photo contest.
Adam Hunger, a freelance photographer working for the Associated Press at an NFL game Oct. 15, 2023, submitted “Pass Break Up” in the 56th annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Photo Contest, and the panel of judges declared it the winner of the Dave Boss Award of Excellence.
The five groups presenting the Awards of Excellence created their own selection committees and set their own criteria for choosing their class members. The Hall of Fame does not participate in any nominating or voting.

Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 1964 celebrates 60-year anniversary
The seven members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 1964 being celebrated for their 60-year anniversary this year include player and coach Jimmy Conzelman, tackle Ed Healey, fullback/linebacker Clarke Hinkle, tackle Roy “Link” Lyman, guard Mike Michalske, founder/owner Art Rooney Sr. and center George Trafton.
Pro Football Hall of Fame celebrates decades of football excellence
Since 1963, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has honored football’s greatest individuals, celebrating the stories and triumphs of each enshrinee. As the years pass, Enshrinement classes mark anniversaries of their own, much like the Hall. This year, the Hall is recognizing 10 anniversary classes — a total of 50 Hall of Famers — dating back to 1964.
