Artifacts from the first National Football League game played in Brazil are now on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season saw plenty of firsts, including rookie debuts and record-breaking performances. A matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo celebrated the first National Football League game played in Brazil.

The contest in South America marked the fifth of seven continents in which the NFL has played a game.

In the game that featured six lead changes, Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 278 yards and rushed for 33 yards while leading Philadelphia to a 34-29 victory in Corinthians Arena.

DeVonta Smith hauled in eight of Hurts’ completions for 84 yards, including two receptions, 16- and 11-yard gains, on the drive that ended with a field goal for the Eagles with 27 seconds remaining to seal the outcome.

Now on display in the Hall of Fame’s “Pro Football Today Gallery” are the jerseys Hurts and Smith wore, along with a K-ball used for kicks during the game.

NFL International Games also will be played in Germany and London in 2024.
