Pro Football Hall of Fame expands exhibit area featuring Super Bowl champions

Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victories, previous NFL championships highlighted with videos, artifacts

A new display within the Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery at the Pro Football Hall of Fame features the Super Bowl LIX champion Philadelphia Eagles and recognizes previous NFL titles the organization earned on the field. 

Prior to defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX this past February, the Eagles captured victories in Super Bowl LII and NFL titles in 1948, 1949 and 1960.

Videos spotlighting Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts are featured in kiosks near a collection of artifacts from Philadelphia’s championship-winning teams. Among the items placed on display is the ring players received for winning back-to-back titles in 1948-49, the blazer Hall of Famer CHUCK BEDNARIK was awarded for winning the 1960 NFL Championship, and a game-worn 1960 jersey from Hall of Famer NORM VAN BROCKLIN and his Jim Thorpe Memorial Trophy received as NFL MVP that season.

Items from the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory over the New England Patriots include the headset that winning coach Doug Pederson wore and the football from the “Philly Special” touchdown play.

Several other championship season and title-game objects are available for viewing.

Officially opening Friday, May 2, the exhibit space will remain a featured area for the defending Super Bowl champion until it is updated annually to highlight the next season’s title-winning team.

Guests can see the enhanced exhibit area, which also includes a display of all Super Bowl rings — to be updated this summer with the arrival of the Eagles’ newest ring — and the Vince Lombardi Trophy, at no additional cost to their admission ticket. To plan a visit, click here.
