Pro Football Hall of Fame, Smith+Nephew Extend Partnership Through 2028
This unique association is born from the commitment both Smith+Nephew and the Pro Football Hall of Fame share in advancing the quality of life for Hall of Famers, their families and their fans.
“We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” said Craig Gaffin, President of Global Orthopaedics for Smith+Nephew. “Our organizations share values and commitments that drive us every day: hard work, innovation and the unwavering pursuit of excellence. This partnership shines a spotlight on our commitment to helping patients who want to push past joint pain and return to life unlimited by connecting them with local health care providers who can help.”
Through community events, activations and continued involvement with the Hall of Fame, Smith+Nephew wants to inspire those living with joint pain to take a step toward better movement and quality of life by seeking the care they need.
Known for their innovative technologies in such areas as surgical robotics, advanced implants and biologics that help the body heal itself, Smith+Nephew has helped millions of patients relieve pain and regain an active lifestyle.
“This is all about improving quality of life,” said Pat Lindesmith, Executive Vice President of Sponsorships & Partnerships at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “Smith+Nephew helps improve the lives of not only our enshrinees, but also everyday ‘hall of famers’ around the world.”
As part of the renewed partnership, Smith+Nephew will continue to play a prominent role at festivities leading up to the Enshrinement of the new class, including bringing its interactive booth to the Sugardale Fan Fest, where Hall of Famers will make appearances. Smith+Nephew also will be the presenting sponsor of the Hall of Famer Walk – the event during which all returning enshrinees and the new class members walk along George Halas Drive outside the Hall before taking their annual group photo on the steps of the museum.
A perfect embodiment of the partnership, the Hall of Famer Walk showcases the achievements of Gold Jacket recipients and Smith+Nephew’s mission to restore movement to patients.
Smith+Nephew’s impact will extend beyond being identified as the Official Joint Replacement and Sports Medicine Technology of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Activation at “Salute to Greatness” golf events also has been added to the deeper relationship.
Smith+Nephew will organize walks with local doctors, clinics and patients to promote the benefits of treating joint pain. These walks with Hall of Famers will take place on Sunday mornings during tournament weekends prior to the parings party. The first walk will take place June 14 in Dallas.
