HOF New Artifact Spotlight: Washington Football Team

The Pro Football Hall of Fame recently received the newly designed Washington Football Team uniform (helmet, pants, jersey, socks) unveiled during the team’s Week 1 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 13, 2020.

The team jerseys feature a No. 49 patch to pay tribute to Pro Football Hall of Famer Bobby Mitchell**,** who passed away earlier in 2020. Mitchell was the first African American to play for the Washington franchise.
