This ball was used during the opening game of the 87th NFL season. The defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 7, 2006. Pittsburgh went on to defeat the Dolphins 28-17.

This football was used during the opening kickoff of the first regular season game played in the new $455 million Cardinals Stadium. Arizona opened their new facility with a 34-27 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on September 10, 2006.

Troy Aikman wore this helmet for the 1992 NFL season in which he led the Cowboys to a 13-3 record en route to a victory in Super Bowl XXVII.
Aikman donated his helmet this summer just prior to his induction in August.

Pictured is the jersey worn by Redskins QB Mark Brunell when he eclipsed Rich Gannon's record of 21 consecutive completions in a game. Brunell surpassed Gannon's mark on Sept. 24, 2006 against the Houston Texans.

Kansas City RB Larry Johnson wore these shoes on Dec. 31, 2006 when set the new NFL single-season record for rushing attempts and bettered his Chiefs mark for rushing yards in a season. The shoes were developed by Grammy-winning Rap star JAY-Z and Reebok.

The complete uniform worn by Dolphins Defensive End Jason Taylor arrived at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Taylor wore the uniform on Thanksgiving Day when the Dolphins traveled to Detroit to face the Lions. Miami defeated Detroit, 27-10.

New York Giants running back Tiki Barber wore this jersey on December 30, 2006 in the final regular season game of his storied career. He rushed for a franchise record 234 yards and scored three TDs that day to lead the Giants past Washington and into the playoffs.

Barber retired as the game’s 17th all-time leading rusher.

Chicago Bears WR Devin Hester wore this jersey on November 12, 2006 when he returned a missed field goal 108 yards for a TD.

Chargers RB LaDaininian Tomlinson carried this ball across the goalline for his 29th TD of the 2006 season. With that score, he surpassed the single-season mark for touchdowns set one year earlier by Shaun Alexander of the Seattle Seahawks.

The complete uniform worn by LaDainian Tomlinson during the 2006 season. Tomlinson scored 31 TDs and scored 186 points to break the longstanding record held by Hall of Famer Paul Hornung. He went on to earn MVP honors for the 2006 season.
