Elroy "Crazylegs" Hirsch was an All-America halfback at both Wisconsin and Michigan.

Despite being drafted by the Cleveland Rams in 1945, Hirsch (center) signed with the Chicago Rockets of the All-America Football Conference where he played from 1946-1948.

In 1949, "Crazylegs" signed with the Rams and moved to end. There he excelled in the explosive "three-end" offense.

Wildly popular, the elusive Hirsch was named to three all-league teams and three Pro Bowls while with the Rams.
