The Indianapolis Colts picked San Diego State running back Marshall Faulk as the second player overall in the 1994 NFL Draft.

He rushed for 143 yards and scored three touchdowns in his rookie debut against the Houston Oilers.

He finished his first season with 1,282 rushing yards and an AFC-leading 11 TDs. He also caught 52 passes for 522 yards and one touchdown. He was named Rookie of the Year for his performance.

Faulk's finest season with the Colts came in 1998. He set the franchise mark and led the NFL with 2,227 total yards from scrimmage. He also led the Colts and all league running backs in receptions with a team record 86 catches for 908 yards.
