After eight succesful seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, White joined the Green Bay Packers as one of the first big name free agents to switch teams.

Reggie White was elected to the Pro Bowl 13 straight times in his 15-year NFL career.

With White anchoring the NFL's top ranked defense, the Packers claimed their first Super Bowl victory since the Vince Lombardi era. The Packers defeated the New England Patriots, 35-21.

White is the only player to record 10 sacks in 9 consecutive seasons.

Despite only playing in 13 games his rookie season, White tied for the team lead with 13 sacks and was named the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Sara White will represent her late husband at the podium in August when he is inducted posthumously into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

After a brief one-year retirement, White returned for a final season with the Carolina Panthers in 2000.
