Shaun_Alexander In the first six seasons of his career, Shaun Alexander proved that he excels at two things - racking up rushing yardage and finding the end zone. After narrowly missing a rushing crown in 2004, the Seattle Seahawks running back registered a season for the ages in 2005.

Alexander rushed for a team record 1,880 yards to lead the NFL in rushing last season. Even more impressive was his clip by which he scored touchdowns. With the Seahawks playoff berth and home field advantage secure, Alexander played just one half of his team's season finale on the road against the Green Bay Packers on January 1, 2006.

He mustered 73 yards in one half of football to gain the rushing title. But, it was his one-yard TD run in the second quarter that made history. With that score, his 28th of the year, Alexander established the new single-season touchdown record.

Alexander also had a 6-yard TD reception in Week 16 vs. the Indianapolis Colts. In all, Alexander had 15 receptions for a total of 78 yards in 2005.
