The Pro Football Hall of Fame hit the road this week to help commemorate its 50th Anniversary by opening the largest traveling exhibition in the museum’s history. Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame is a 5,000 square-foot interactive multimedia exhibit that features more than 200 mementoes and will capture the essence of the Hall of Fame experience. In honor of its debut this weekend at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., Hall of Famer BARRY SANDERS, one of many legendary stars featured in the exhibit, served as Gridiron Glory’s national ambassador.

“When the Hall of Fame approached me about Gridiron Glory, I knew I had to be involved,” said Sanders, who was enshrined in 2004. “I have a great amount of respect for the history of the game and this exhibit will really open people’s eyes. I know it did mine.”

Sanders spent time in New York City this week to help promote the exhibit. He appeared on numerous television and radio shows.  Such shows included the Boomer & Carton show on CBS at the Allstate Studio where he talked with his friend and former Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Boomer Esiason. He also paid a visit to Fox and Friends and then participated in an interview with the Wall Street Journal among numerous other media outlets during his whirlwind tour.
