In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), the Pro Football Hall of Fame will host ‘Goldy’s Pink Lemonade Stand’ on Oct. 17, 2023, and accept donations for the BCRF.

Recently, Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis, who serves on the board for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, manned his own lemonade stand in Pittsburgh. As part of the Black and Yellow for Pink Lemonade Stand, Bettis was able to host his second event, after hosting Indiana’s first Pink Lemonade Stand in 2022.

In 2014, Bettis’ mother Gladys was diagnosed with stage II invasive lobular carcinoma and underwent a lumpectomy and has since made a full recovery. She also serves as an ambassador to the BCRF alongside her son.

“The Hall is proud to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, an incredibly important cause that is also supported by Jerome Bettis and many other Hall of Famers,” said Jim Porter, president of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “For the first $2,500 in donations made to Goldy’s Pink Lemonade Stand, the Hall will match the proceeds that are going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.”

The BCRF’s mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.

Goldy’s Pink Lemonade Stand will be held in front of the Hall of Fame from noon to 5 p.m., with the first 200 to make a donation receiving a custom pink logoed Pro Football Hall of Fame T-shirt. All who donate will receive a cup of pink lemonade. Those wishing to make a donation can walk up to or drive through the event.

The Hall’s original rotunda and iconic dome will be lighted in pink the week of Oct. 15, to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Earlier this year, the Hall introduced the first Goldy’s Lemonade Stand, named after Goldy the G.O.A.T the Hall’s mascot. Goldy’s Lemonade Stand has been featured throughout Stark County, the Hall’s 60th Anniversary Community Celebration and various events during 2023 Enshrinement Week, including the second annual Hall of Famer Walk in Downtown Canton.
