‘Triangle Park’ documentary on NFL’s first game heading to AMC theatres

The movie “Triangle Park” – a look at the National Football League’s first game – made its Canton debut earlier this week. Coming Wednesday (Nov. 22), fans in every NFL city can see the film at their local AMC theater.

Written and directed by Allen Farst, the film uncovers facts around the NFL’s first game, played Oct. 3, 1920, in Dayton.

Triangle Park was the site of that debut game of a new league – known then as the American Professional Football Association before being renamed the National Football League in 1922. The Dayton Triangles shut out the Columbus Panhandles, 14-0, in the historic game.

Farst went to great length to connect family decedents of former players, even finding never before seen football treasures, while also leaning on such football greats TROY AIKMAN and ERIC DICKERSON along with several other pro standouts. Emmy Award-winning journalist Michele Tafoya narrates the 90-minute film.
