Country-themed ‘Rock The Lot: Concert & Cars’ coming to Enshrinement Week in Canton

New to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week in 2023 will be “Rock the Lot: Concert & Cars featuring J.T. Hodges,” on Saturday, Aug. 5. The country-themed concert, which will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET, will be highlighted by fan-favorite cars, local talent and an artist nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award. Admission is free for all fans.

The event, held in the Hall’s main parking lot, will feature performances and entertainment from J.T. Hodges, Buck Naked Band and radio station 94.9 WQMX. The car show will display dozens of European sports cars, Trans-Ams and plenty more.

J.T. Hodges, nominated as a semifinalist for New Artist of the Year at the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, broke into the country music scene with his Billboard Hot Country charting debut “Hunt You Down.” He has scored several top 10 singles since then with songs such as “Goodbyes Made you Mine”, “Ray Bans” and “Sleepy Little Town.” He has toured with Eric Church, Matchbox 20 and Miranda Lambert.

Buck Naked Band formed in 2011 and has been a mainstay in Northeast Ohio, drawing large crowds and known for bringing the party. A four-time FOX-8 Hotlist winner, the group won the Beacon’s Best Local Band award in 2019 and 2020.

94.9 WQMX is Akron’s home for everything country. Sarah Kay is the Host on “Scott and Sarah in the Morning on 94.9 WQMX” and the program director for the station. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, she has been in the radio business since 2004 and has been part of the WQMX team since 2008.

Refreshments and food will be available for purchase during the performances from local food trucks.
