Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald’s Salute to Service hoodie, Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride’s gloves and “1923 Classic” Packers uniform headline recent artifacts placed on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Museum.

Macdonald, representing his family’s ties to the U.S. Armed Forces, wore his Salute to Service sweatshirt and hat in Seattle’s 44-22 win against the Cardinals on Nov. 9, 2025. Macdonald’s father graduated from West Point and served in the U.S. Army (1971-1977) while his grandfather served in World War II and his aunts served in Vietnam as nurses.

The NFL’s Salute to Service honors U.S. service members, veterans and their families. Since 2011, the initiative has raised over $75 million through partnerships with leading organizations that serve our nation’s veterans.

Record-setting catch

On Dec. 28, 2025, Trey McBride caught his record-setting 117th pass of the 2025 season, marking the most by a tight end in an NFL season. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett delivered the pass to McBride, who was working back to the ball on a hitch route late in the fourth quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals. Both of the gloves used to make the catch and the ball caught have been placed in the museum.

McBride finished his 2025 campaign with a franchise-record 126 receptions for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns.

1923-inspired Packers uniform

The Green Bay Packers paid homage to their 1923 team by wearing the “1923 Classic” uniform on November 2, 2025, in a 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

The uniform also consisted of tan pants, tan socks and for the first time ever in NFL History, hand-painted helmets that resembled the leather helmets that would’ve been worn during the 1923 season.

1923 was the second year in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers organization. That year, the team finished 7-2-1, good for 3rd in the NFL, and was coached by Hall of Famer EARL ‘CURLY’ LAMBEAU.
