Celebrating football at the Super Bowl

1/31/2011

Two of our staff members, Justin Ford and Adam Shipley, were on duty at the Super Bowl NFL Experience in Dallas over the weekend. The two reveled in the excitement of the Super Bowl and the celebration of football.

Thousands of fans stopped by to see the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s huge exhibit at the NFL Experience this year.  Here’s a sampling of some of the fans who engaged in some football talk with Adam and Justin.

Jacob from Mesquite, TX really enjoyed seeing Emmitt Smith’s bronze bust up close. Emmitt is his favorite player and he really enjoyed seeing the all-time leading rusher get enshrined in Canton last August. Smith’s bust, along with the other six members of our Class of 2010, is on display in our exhibit. It’s the first time ever that an entire class of busts has been on display outside of our Hall of Fame Gallery in Canton!

Sean and James from Colony, TX enjoyed seeing all of the mementos related to the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers. James is originally from Madison, WI and a diehard Packers fan. Half of his family is Packers fans and the other half are Steelers fans, like Chelsea. They rooted for each other’s teams in the conference championship but now the trash talking is in high gear. Their favorite item on exhibit at the NFL Experience? The Vince Lombardi Trophy!

John Bean of Whitney, TX became a Patriots fan when the team drafted Drew Bledsoe. John shared that his favorite NFL memory is the famous “Tuck rule” play against the Raiders in the playoffs. He really enjoyed the nostalgia of our exhibit.

If you’re visiting the NFL Experience, please be sure to stop by our exhibit and talk some football with our staff. We’re going to bring Justin and Adam back to the cold and snow of Ohio and a new team of staff members will be on site throughout the remainder of the NFL Experience this week!
