My Super Bowl prediction
2/2/2011
I was 2-0 on my conference championship picks last week and now I am 5-1 in the playoffs. Those are much better results than during the regular season.
What a game this one should be on Sunday. This is going to be one of the most anticipated Super Bowl games in a long time. Two teams with loads of history. This Super Bowl is going to set all kinds of records from attendance to television ratings and everything in-between.
I see two very evenly matched teams, especially on defense. The Packers defense does not get the respect of the Steelers defense, but it should. The Packers have been on fire lately and shut down some very explosive teams in the Eagles, Bears and Falcons. The Steelers defense is the cornerstone of the team as usual. Lead by Dick LeBeau, they will be hard to beat. On offense I think Green Bay has a pretty good advantage. Historically, Aaron Rodgers in a closed stadium has put up huge numbers.
The X factor in the game will be the Steelers experience. They have been there before and done very well. The Packers might be a little bit overwhelmed. The experience is the only think I worry about in my pick. Despite the Steelers experience, I like the Packers in this game. I also think it will be a high scoring game even though both teams are very good on defense. One thing I know for sure is it will be a great game. Enjoy!
My pick: Packers over the Steelers 34-30.
