A new season

If you remember from my previous blog, I was giving away a Pro Football Hall of Fame goody bag to the first person who came up to our exhibit at the Super Bowl NFL Experience and mentioned my blog. It did not take long for a winner to emerge. Congratulations to the father and son duo of Brian and Craig Cairns.

Shortly thereafter the Cecil Family stopped by and even though they didn’t make it in time, I told them I would put their picture up on my blog.

It was a great week in Indianapolis; thousands of volunteers made the city seem like a home away from home. The NFL Experience saw record numbers, with more 265,000 people attending. It was a great time to interact with football fans, discuss the different artifacts on display, and promote the Hall of Fame.

For many football fans the New England Patriots just missed “Hail Mary” attempt signified the end of the football season. The New York Giants hoisted the Lombardi Trophy in triumph as Super Bowl XLVI champions, and now many fans will be wondering what to do on a Sunday afternoon.

For us, the Hall of Fame “season” is just beginning again. One day before the Super Bowl we announced the newly elected Class of 2012. Jack Butler, Dermontti Dawson, Chris Doleman, Cortez Kennedy, Curtis Martin, and Willie Roaf will be immortalized in Canton on August 4th. Throughout the coming months, preparations will be made by the Hall of Fame and the city of Canton, to get ready for the 2012 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival. If you haven’t done so already, sign up for our “Canton or Bust” sweepstakes for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip for the enshrinement weekend plus other great prizes included a $1,000 gift card to the Hall of Fame Store.

Speaking of our store, initially we have a couple of items to showcase the new enshrinees. Each player has their own Class of 2012 T-shirt and matching Class of 2012 hat. Throughout the coming months make sure to check back at the online store and see all the new Cass of 2012 merchandise as it becomes available.
