I thought it would feel worse with the heat today as it was soaring into the 90s. But, it went well. Nevertheless, I’m going to start about an hour earlier tomorrow before it gets too hot.

It was a longer day than usual as I walked through a lot of open area and not much was around. But, when I do come across people they all seem to know about the walk. I appreciate everyone reading this blog.

A reporter from Fox 8 in Cleveland came out and did a story on me. I usually don’t like to watch myself but I saw it tonight. It was pretty good and I appreciate all the exposure the cause is getting. Here’s the story on tonight’s news:

I guess quarterbacks do like linemen! Warren Moon and Dan Fouts were among those Hall of Famers calling to encourage me. Thanks to the others – John Randle, Tom Mack, Elvin Bethea, and Paul Krause – for their calls today.

They all seem to appreciate what I’m doing.

I find myself feeling like that “Walking Wallenda” guy who was praying as he crossed the Grand Canyon last month. Now, I know my two feet are on the ground, but I do find myself praying to keep me moving.

That, and drinking a ton of water and getting my fill of bananas!

One more day down as I keep getting closer to Canton.
