Joe DeLamielleure is walking to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Golden Anniversary Reunion. His Pounding the Pavement for Prosthetics Walk from Buffalo to Canton is to raise awareness and support for the GRACE’S LAMP organization that deals with young children who grow out of their prosthetic legs but cannot afford the high cost of new adult prosthetic legs. I made it! I should say, “we” made it!
Joey and I walked side-by-side this morning as we completed my 213-mile walk from Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
There are so many people to thank. I appreciate all the fans who showed up today, the Mayor of Canton, Steve Perry and all of his team at the Hall, two Browns alum Dick Ambrose and Bernie Kosar, and so many others for a special finish to my 10 days on the road.
This may be the end of the walk but it’s just the start of something big for Grace’s Lamp. Joey and I are already working on creating some 5k walks around the country to keep building support for this great cause.
I’m now heading home to my family so I can pack and return to Canton in less than two weeks for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Golden Anniversary Reunion.
If you don’t mind, I think I’ll drive this time!
