Lessons From Losing


Losing is never easy, but it helps build character. Ask Kansas State head football coach Bill Snyder. The Wildcats lost their first game of the season last week against Oklahoma State on a game-winning field goal. Cowboys kicker Ben Grogan kicked a 37-yard field goal in the final minute of the game.

Most coaches would have moved on from a loss and started prepping for the next game, however during that process Snyder did something very classy. He sent Grogan a hand-written letter congratulating him on his game-winning field goal against him team. Read the letter>>>

 

 

Not Dunn Yet

Former Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Warrick Dunn experienced tragedy in 1993 when his mom, who was a police officer and single mother, was killed while working an off-duty assignment leaving an 18-year-old Dunn as the head of the family. He honored his mother's memory by creating a foundation to provide single mothers with homes.

Dunn, who retired from the game after the 2008 season, recently helped his 145th single parent achieve homeownership. Check out the full story>>>
