Senior Day at HOF
The Pro Football Hall of Fame will offer free admission to visitors 55-years-old and older as a part of Senior Day at the museum on Wed., October 1, 2008. In addition to free admission, Aultman Health Foundation will offer free general health screenings and provide informational booths on senior care from 7:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. in the museum.
Health screening tests being offered include cholesterol screenings*, triglycerides screenings*, blood sugar screenings*, diabetes risk assessments, breast cancer risk assessments, blood pressure screenings, cardiac risk assessments, body fat analysis and other helpful screenings.
[*It is important to note that for optimal test results it is recommended that individuals fast 12-16 hours prior to those screenings noted with an asterisk.]
Additionally, Aultman will provide general health information booths offering special fitness demonstrations, grieving tips, “Ask a Pharmacist,” home safety proofing and home medical supply tips.
No reservations are required for this special event which is sponsored by Aultman Health Foundation and Johnnie’s Bakery.
WHBC Morning Show personalities Fred Chenevey and Pam Cook will be on hand to meet and greet attendees with a special two-hour live remote inside the Hall of Fame from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the Hall of Fame’s two new exhibit halls, the Moments, Memories & Mementos Gallery and Pro Football Today Gallery. In addition, special museum presentations will take place throughout the day with a focus on stories from the gridiron.
All seniors (55-and older) will receive a complimentary 2008 Pro Football Hall of Fame Yearbook, a 10% discount in the Museum Store, a souvenir provided by Aultman Health Foundation, complimentary cake, as well as coffee and tea.
