Baltimore entered their first ever regular season contest with the Patriots heavily favored but with less than two minutes remaining in the game, the Colts clung to a one-point lead. Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas came off the bench to throw a 55-yard TD strike to Roy Jefferson to secure the win. December 21, 1975 - BALTIMORE 34, New England 21
Heading into the final game of the regular season, Baltimore needed a victory over the Patriots to secure an AFC East title. Going into the fourth quarter, the Colts found themselves on the losing end of a 21-20 score. An interception by Stan White proved to be the turning point and set up an 11-yard touchdown run by RB Lydell Mitchell. The Colts sealed the victory following another interception, this time by Nelson Munsey who ran it back for a touchdown.
September 6, 1981 - Baltimore 29, NEW ENGLAND 28
The Colts were able to outlast the Patriots in this epic season opener. Baltimore jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead in the first quarter following a field goal by kicker Mike Wood and a 19-yard TD run by Curtis Dickey. With a line anchored by Hall of Fame guard John Hannah, Patriots QB Steve Grogan rallied the Patriots to within one point following three TD passes and a 1-yard TD run by Don Calhoun before the final gun sounded.

The New England defense proved too strong for the Colts as they recorded two sacks and four interceptions. Patriots kicker Jason Staurovsky booted three field goals in the second half to boost the Patriots past the Colts for their only victory of the season.
November 27, 1994 - New England 12, INDIANAPOLIS 10
The foot of kicker Matt Bahr was enough to lift the Patriots past the Colts as he connected on four field goal attempts. Bahr's four field goals (22, 37, 25, 43) were the only scores for New England. Tight end Ben Coates hauled in 12 passes from quarterback Drew Bledsoe for 119 yards to set up three of Bahr's field goals; the fourth coming off of a fumble recovery.
January 18, 2004 (2003 AFC Championship Game) - NEW ENGLAND 24, Indianapolis 14
The quarterback duel between Tom Brady of the Patriots and Peyton Manning of the Colts ended in a draw as each passer threw for 237 yards and one TD. New England kicker Adam Vinatieri connected on five field goals (31, 25, 27, 21, 34) to tie an NFL postseason mark and ensure New England's second Super Bowl berth in three years.
