T.O., now in his 14th year in the NFL, added another reception to finish the night with 2 receptions for 46 yards. With that he sits just 47 catches away the coveted 1,000-catch mark. Only five receivers in NFL history have amassed 1,000 receptions.
Meanwhile the Patriots Randy Moss had a game-high 12 catches for 141 yards to raise his career total to 855 receptions. With his performance on Monday night, Moss jumped ahead of Rod Smith and Irving Fryar on the career Top 20 receivers chart.
New England quarterback Tom Brady returned to action on Monday after suffering a season-ending injury last year. Ranked fourth all-time in passer rating, he padded his career stats by completing 39 of 58 passes for 378 yards, 2 TDs for a 97.8 rating.
