Joe Schmidt's helmet

A seventh-round draft pick by the Detroit Lions in 1953, Joe Schmidt quickly became the defensive leader of the club. 

He was voted to the NFL's all-league team ten times. He was elected to the Pro Bowl ten straight years from 1955 through 1964 and his teammates voted him their Most Valuable Player four times.

This is the helmet worn by Schmidt during his career with the Lions.
