Cowboys fan wins “Canton or Bust” Sweepstakes

Bob Fedich of Fairfax, VA has won the Canton or Bust Sweepstakes. He, along with one lucky guest (who will be either his wife or son) will experience the Ultimate VIP Fan Package to the 2010 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival. The Canton or Bust Sweepstakes attracted tens of thousands of fans since it launched in February shortly after the Class of 2010 – Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, Dick LeBeau, Floyd Little, John Randle, Jerry Rice, and Emmitt Smith – were elected.

As the grand prize winner of the Canton or Bust Sweepstakes, Fedich's package includes round-trip airfare for two on AirTran Airways, four-night stay at the football-themed Courtyard by Marriott in Canton, two VIP tickets to the 2010 Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 7 and a $1,000 gift card for the Hall of Fame store.

In addition, Fedich and his guest will receive tickets to the Enshrinees Dinner where the Class of 2010 receives their Hall of Fame gold jackets, reserved seating at the Timken Grand Parade, sideline Green zone seating at the NFL Hall of Fame game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 8, special two-day admission tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, plus a pair of tickets to the Enshrinement Celebration Fan Party, and Fan Appreciation Tailgate Party. He will also go home with a Class of 2010 autographed football and the 2010 Official Pro Football Hall of Fame Yearbook.

The total value of the package is $5,000.

"It's been a long time since I've won something more than a $10 door prize, so it's pretty exciting," Fedich said upon learning that he won the sweepstakes.

Fedich is looking quite forward to Emmitt Smith's enshrinement, as well as watching his favorite team, the Cowboys, play in the NFL Hall of Game.

"I think Emmitt always showed class throughout his career," shard the contest winner. "He had that willing-to-go-the-extra-mile type of attitude. And I've always loved the Cowboys because during the time of Eddie LeBaron and the Ice Bowl, they were the underdog team."

It's been 10 years since Fedich's last visit to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but it appears he looks to take away more memories this time around.

"I hope to have more appreciation of the game and learn how it's been carried through the modern era while still being respected by current players," Fedich said. "It's going to be a great opportunity to feel the emotions of the players as they're inducted into the Hall of Fame. It's one thing to watch the enshrinement on TV, but a completely different thing to be there in the moment."
